In-Country Director

Michael Anello

Michael has been out go-to person in Haiti for many years- even before he was hired on as a staff member of Family Health Ministries. He first traveled to Haiti in 2011 and his life was changed forever, so much so that he decided to move there full-time. A few years after connecting with FHM, he decided to join our team to manage our guest house. Since then, he has served in countless other ways. His love of and dedication to the Haitian people is inspiring and we are thankful to have him on our team.

Operations Coordinator

Christian Pridgen

After graduating from high school, Christian attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. During her time there, she became a highly decorated scholar, serving in many capacities. She appreciates her experiences as a mentor and her mission travel to Jamacia most. Upon graduating from UNC Charlotte with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a minor in Urban Youth and Communities, she continued her educational career at Emory University’s Candler School of Theology. 

Christian entered divinity school with the confidence that she was called to do mission and community work—ministry outside the pulpit. She was intentional in her course selection and picked up her concentration in Pastoral Care. She is honored to have studied under an array of world-renowned professors of diverse, indigenous backgrounds. 

Shortly after graduating from Emory, Christian began working, but she was confident that the work she was doing was not her true calling. Christian comes to us with great enthusiasm, as she feels the opportunity to work with Family Health Ministries aligns with her calling to minister through acts of kindness, love, and compassion. 

Executive Director

Elizabeth Kurtgeri

In early 2025, upon the retirement of Kathy Walmer- Family Health Ministries’ first Executive Director- Elizabeth Kurtgeri took on the role of Executive Director for FHM. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health from Furman University and a Masters of Public Health with a concentration in Global Health from George Mason University. Her studies were complimented by trips to Haiti and Peru that taught her invaluable lessons and eventually led her to FHM. Her passion for improving healthcare systems is matched by a deep love for Haiti and its people, driving her commitment to advancing healthcare accessibility for all.

Dr. Danache Thermozier, OB/Gyn

Dr. Danache has worked with FHM since 2016 and is integral to providing quality healthcare at our Carmelle Voltaire Women’s Health Center.

Christaline Bellamy

Ms. Bellamy was educated in Haiti at the FSIL Nursing School in Leogane. She has been working for FHM since 2017 and has provided care to countless women, children, and families.

Family Nurse Practitioner of Carmelle Voltaire Women's Health Center

Rachelle Fabiola Tenor, NP

Nurse Rachelle is a graduate of the FSIL Nursing School in Leogone. Upon graduation, she was hired by FHM as our very first Nurse Practitioner. She now works alongside Dr. Danache to monitor pregnant patients and administer care to women, children, and families, playing a vital role at the CVWHC. Passionate about rural healthcare, Nurse Rachelle is committed to expanding services for underserved communities, hoping to see FHM grow into a larger facility that provides a range of family services. This passion has led her to starting FHM’s hypertension program, which she now oversees.

Leogane Guest House Security Guard

Casimir Berthony

Casimir is not only a security guard but also serves many other ways, such as translating for mission groups, entering data for research purposes, maintaining the guest house, and many others. We are thankful that he is part of the FHM family!
