On September 27th, 519church is teaming up with local sponsors to offer a certified 10k/5k run along the beautiful American Tobacco Trail in Cary, NC. In its third year, this race is quickly becoming a local favorite. Your entry fee supports the work of Family Health Ministries (FHM) to open the new Carmelle Voltaire Women’s Health Center in the mountains of Fondwa, Haiti near Tombe Gateau. Our goal is to register 500 runners and raise $10,000 through the proceeds from the race. If we meet our goal, FHM will receive an additional $10,000 through a matching challenge grant from a private foundation.
Register for the race at www.519run.org
Race pricing: Before September 24, 2014: Individual: $25.00, Family: $60.00. After September 24, 2014: Individual: $30.00, Family: $70.00. Register by September 15th to secure your shirt size.
This shaded out-and-back trail begins at the White Oak Crossing and provides a great course for fun and fast times. In addition to the 10k/5k, we will also have a 1-mile fun run so that families can come out and run together.
Packet Pick-up and Race Day registrations will take place September 25th & 26th from 5:00-8:00pm at Omega Sports in Morrisville and on September 27th on-site from 7:00-8:15am. 10k begins at 8:00am. Parking Options: White Oak Access Parking Lot and at White Oak Baptist Church.
So jump off the couch, lace up your running shoes and start training! Join us in a run or walk to raise funds to open our new women’s health and birthing center.
