It’s Kanaval time once again!

February 13, 2015

Last year I wrote about Kanaval and a bit of its history. This year the main celebrations will be in Port au Prince right at Mardi Gras time, but each year the coastal town of Jacmel boasts the most colorful and cultural experience according to many. I was able to head down for the main day of the parades over the weekend. I’ve always seen the photos in the tourism books and had it on my bucket list to go snap some of my own. Enjoy! – Hannah Sterling
